Rage Against The Boba Fett Machine

This page will be for all the people who are willing to admit that they don't buy into all the Boba Fett hype.

The Star Wars Trilogy is in my opinion one to three of the top ten movies ever made. I enjoy them for their rich storylines and strong themes of morality. I also enjoy all of the wonderful products of commercialism and fandom that come about from these three movies. But one thing I don't buy into is a fan society, for a character who had about five minutes of screen time, that rivals that of the movies themselves. Now do not mis-perceive me, I certainly feel that Boba Fett is a cool character. I've just never felt that he was worthy of the deity status that the majority of Star Wars fans have elevated him to. So stay tuned, and enjoy the ride. Let me know what you think. If you feel it's about time, or why you think Boba's the coolest(remember, I'm not criticizing anyone for liking Fett)

Why do I dislike Boba Fett? I don't Dislike him, I just don't find his character to be important in the whole Star Wars Myth. When I was young I certainly Loved Boba Fett, afterall he was the Action Figure with the ,even if non-firing, rocket on his back. But as I aged, I began to realize the depth and involvement of the whole story that is Star Wars. And somehow the actual story of Boba Fett became less and less important. Certainly the part of the myth where the pirate gets captured is of high regard. It sets up what is to come in ROTJ, which is to show how in the course of a few years these completely different people after shared good and also traumatic experiences have become a tight group willing to risk life for one another. But the Actual Hunter is irrelevant. It could have been a talking moose that did the job. I hope that I have sucessfully stated my view without going into stupid, cruel, nitpicking detail. And in conclusion I say we are all Star Wars fans, and I thoroughly respect your opinion to like Boba Fett. Contrasting views taken in good light are what make life great. And in the end. . ."The Force Will Be With You Always"
